Scanner (Recommended)
Scan your completed font form into your computer, and save it as an image file.
You must scan with a resolution of at least 150 dpi for greyscale
and 300 dpi for black and white but not more than 600 dpi.
Camera
* Note: We suggest that you scan your form, which is more reliable than photographing it. *
Use a high resolution capture mode of at least 2 megapixels - between 4 and 8 megapixels is ideal.
Enable macro mode (also known as the little "flower" icon ). This mode tells your camera to focus more closely on small details. Some new cameras do this automatically. When they do they usually show the icon in the screen before capturing the image.
Turn off the flash . This is important for even lighting. Taking the picture in good light conditions helps to get a better image without the flash. Try to hold the camera still (or use a tripod) since without flash the camera becomes more sensitive to movement which can make the image blurry.
Notes:
- Make sure the scan/picture captures the entire font form, including the outer border, or your font will not be created correctly.
- Image file formats must be JPEG, PNG or PDF.
- Images should be rotated to a portrait orientation to be recognized.
